A 15-year-old is facing multiple charges after threatening people with a knife.
Shortly after 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13, Windsor police officers responded to a report of an assault with a weapon at a residence in South Windsor.
When police arrived, officers learned that a verbal argument began after the youth accused the victims - who live in the same building and share laundry facilities - of turning off the washing machine.
Police say the suspect allegedly retrieved a large kitchen knife, pointed it at the victims and threatened to stab and kill them.
One of the victims then called 911, distracting the suspect and allowing another victim to disarm him.
The suspect then fled on foot; however, officers quickly located and arrested them.
The teen, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with assault with a weapon, uttering threats to cause death, failure to comply with a release order, and breaching a court order.
