A teenage boy has been charged following a stabbing in the city’s east end.
Shortly after 2:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 7, Windsor Police responded to a report of a stabbing in the 3000 block of Jefferson Boulevard.
Upon arrival, officers located a 16-year-old boy suffering from stab wounds. The victim was transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police discovered through investigation that the victim and suspect, who are known to each other, became involved in an altercation at a home.
During the incident, the 13-year-old allegedly used an edged weapon, causing injuries to the older teen.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.
Officers located and arrested the suspect at a residence in east Windsor shortly before 4 a.m.
The boy, who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, has been charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and failure to comply with a release order.
