An exciting couple of days for students at the University of Windsor.
More than 1,600 of them will cross the stage at the Toldo Lancer Centre on Thursday and Friday as part of the 120th University of Windsor convocation.
Officials say the fall convocation is a celebration of academic achievement, hard work and dedication.
UWindsor will be welcoming 1,653 graduands, their families and the community to join in the momentous occasion on October 12 and 13.
University of Windsor Registrar Ray Darling says convocation serves as a powerful reminder of the transformative potential within the university community.
"As knowledge creators, learners, teachers, innovators, supporters and advocates, our collective journey is marked by stories of dedication, growth and achievement," he continued. "This year's 120th University of Windsor convocation is a testament to our commitment to academic excellence and the incredible accomplishments of our graduates."
Four total sessions will be held over the two days for the awarding of diplomas:
Session One on Thursday will at 9:30 a.m. for all programs in the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Odette School of Business, and Faculty of Graduate Studies.
Session Two follows at 2:30 p.m. for all programs in the Faculty of Education, Faculty of Human Kinetics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Nursing, and Faculty of Science.
Session Three goes Friday at 9:30 a.m. for all programs in the Faculty of Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Session Four closes things out at 2:30 p.m. for all programs in the Faculty of Engineering, General Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Mechanical-Automotive Engineering.
