Windsor police have charged a city man with murder.
Police say 45-year-old David Formosa is facing a charge of first degree murder.
Family members tell AM800 News the shooting victim was 19-year-old Dallas Nelson.
Officers were dispatched to Windsor Regional Hospital around 5:30pm on Tuesday to investigate a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The investigation led to a home in the 700-block of University Ave. E near Louis Ave.
The victim died in the hospital.
Around 10:45pm Tuesday, investigators went to an apartment in the 8700-block of Riverside Dr. E and arrested a 45-year-old man.
The suspect and victim were known to each other.
The family is holding an online fundraiser to help pay for Nelson's funeral.
The investigation continues.
