Police were called just before 8am to a home in the 700 block of Dougall Ave, between Wyandotte St. and Elliott.

A man was found dead on the porch and there was a white powder found near him.
As a precaution, police called in the Windsor fire Hazmat team.
"Police responded along with ambulance," says Windsor Police Inspector Brad Hill. "Ambulance determined the person was deceased however there was a white unknown substance near and around the body, as a precaution, we have brought in the Windsor fire department to assist us with Hazmat."
Hill says the discovery was made by the homeowner this morning. "The deceased was a visitor to the home, he knows the homeowner and came to visit the homeowner and the homeowner found him on the porch deceased."

Police say the body has been sent for an autopsy, while the unidentified white powdery substance will be sent to the proper authorities for analysis.
The area with a potential hazardous material has been decominated.
Dougall Avenue re-opened to traffic around 5:00pm Friday.
