Workers at Magna Integram Windsor Seating have voted in favour of strike action if needed to back contract demands.
Unifor Local 444 represents the workers at the Patillo Road facility in Lakeshore.
Vice President Mike D'Agnolo says a strike authorization vote was held online over the weekend, where the unionized workers voted 92 per cent in favour.
He says Integram members concerns are similar to those of the Big Three.
"Obviously the grow in is an issue, wage increases are always an issue, benefits," says D'Agnolo. "So again we haven't received all the demand sheets back yet so once we get all those demand sheets, we go off of that and what our members ask for, we go to the bargaining table and try to obtain."
He says the strong strike mandate shows the membership backs the bargaining committee.
"It sounds a clear message to the company that our members support the bargaining committee going into bargaining for us," he says.

D'Agnolo says in person talks are expected to begin within the next three weeks.
"I believe there's five people allowed in a room for each side," says D'Agnolo. "So we're following the 10 person rule, and then obviously because our bargaining committee is bigger than just the five people, we are working out those arrangements to make them apart of bargaining and the whole process.
The current collective agreement expires on November 4.
There are roughly 830 full time unionized workers at the plant.
