An online survey to get public feedback on a possible salary increase for Windsor city councillors and the mayor has now ended.
Council Compensation Committee Chair Toni Scislowski says in total, there were 710 respondents which she considers to be an 'excellent response rate.'
The committee will now review the data from the survey, along with input from the town hall meetings, a comparison of other similar municipalities
and interviews with the mayor and councillors.
Council last received a pay increase 13 years ago in 2005 of 1.9%.
The review was prompted following changes by the Canada Revenue Agency that would result in councillors and the mayor getting less take-home pay.
The committee hopes to provide a report with recommendations to city council in September 2018.
The current base pay for a Windsor city councillor is $28, 770.
