Amherstburg is seeking input on what the next move should be for the former site of Duffy's Tavern and Motor Inn.
A new amphitheater, community gathering space, a marina and other amenities are planned for the property on Dalhousie St. and Gore St..
Should the plan be approved it will cost an estimated $6.5-million according to town CAO John Miceli.

He says the public consultation phase of the process has been well received, and input will be brought before council for further discussion at a later date.
Stephanie Thomson says the plans are exciting and she can't wait to see them come together.
Thomson chose to purchase a home on Boblo Island five years ago after moving from Toronto.
She says after a rocky start, the town has really turned into a great place to live.
"I just knew Amherstburg was going to be a happening place and it was going to be more so," says Thomson. "I was disappointed when I first moved to see that they were having some stress, but you know, you get lemons and then you get lemonade, and boy did we get lucky."
She says the plan fits perfectly with the sites history as a family gathering place.
"It's going to be a real gathering centre. It's good for business, it's good for the people here, it's good for tourism, it's just good all around," Thomson says.
Her home on Boblo Island faces the property and she can't wait to sit on her patio and listen to the music coming from a brand new venue.

"What's coming now, I'll have the catbird seat from literally from my kitchen window. I'll get to see it develop and play out, it's going to be wonderful," she says.
Miceli told AM800 News, if approved, the town wouldn't brake ground until summer of 2018.
