Ward 7 Councillor Irek Kusmierczyk says the biggest land development project in the past decade is one step closer to reality in east Windsor.
Nearly 8.5-acres is being proposed for development for commercial and residential use on Banwell Rd. at McNorton.
The city's Planning Committee approved the plan this past week with a few changes and the issue will now be brought to council.
Kusmierczyk says it's being built by Groundswell Urban Planners who want, "mixed use residential building, but also commercial buildings, like shops, potentially restaurants, and cafes for example," he says.
The project will come to council in January.
