Essex County OPP have issued a warning about counterfeit currency circulating in the Leamington area.
Investigators say several bogus Canadian $20 bills have surfaced recently creating the need to make the public aware.
Police say these particular bank notes are more noticeably counterfeit, having additional written language predominantly displayed on either side of the bills.
