A boil water advisory has been issued in Chatham-Kent.
Chatham-Kent's Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Colby is advising consumers serviced by the South Drinking Water System in Chatham-Kent to bring water to a rolling boil for at least one minute prior to using it for drinking, making infant formula and juice, brushing teeth, washing food and making ice.
The reason for the advisory is due to a loss of pressure in the drinking water system.
The advisory will be in place until the health unit receives good results from two sets of samples taken a minimum of 24 hours apart.
