He told court he and 42-year-old Lesley Watterworth did drugs regularly. He did crack cocaine and she did crystal meth.
A month before the fatal stabbing, Pierre said his mother had died and it crushed him. He doubled up on drugs but went to Brentwood to sober up
On the day in question, he said they were doing drugs and drinking.

They got into an argument and he testified, 'I exploded. I grabbed the knife off the stove and started stabbing her.'
It happened after he accused Watterworth of cheating on him and Pierre testified that Watterworth replied it wouldn't have happened if he hadn't gone to Brentwood.
"We were polluted, drinking for three days, smoking crack," he said. "I must have been in a rage. I don't know what happened. I didn't want this to happen."
He said he didn't want to kill her and that he loved her.
Court heard Watterworth suffered 69 wounds in the attack including a fatal 15 cm stab wound to her back.
