A Little Bit About Arms:

After attending St. Christopher and Notre Dame Elementary Schools and Holy Names High School, Arms worked in retail management for 4 years.  Feeling the need to explore new options, Armand attended school in Southfield, Michigan at the Specs Howard School Of Broadcast Arts.  Armand graduated with honours from the Radio program taking away the “Most Informative News Anchor” award and went back for a second concentration in television production, graduating with honours and winning the “Outstanding Talent Performance” award in 2004.  Armand also began to intern with AM800’s sister station in 2004, and within 2 months he was hired as a part time producer on AM800 working overnights, weekends, The Morning Drive, The Lynn Martin Show, Windsor Now and various other programs.  In 2005, Armand made the jump to promotions.  Armand also became involved with a number of charities in the region including the Canadian Cancer Society and the Multicultural Council of Windsor Essex.  In mid 2007, Armand transitioned from behind the scenes to on-air, becoming the “On The Street” Reporter for the Morning Drive with Mike and Lisa, Host of the Noon Report, and "Sunday Morning Live".  In November of 2007, Armand was named “Pilot Of The Airwaves” by listeners in Windsor Essex at the Biz X Oscars Awards.   In 2008, Arms was ecstatic to help launch the hour long Noon Report on AM800.  In March 2013, Arms was promote to the host of popular Saturday morning show "Live and Local".  In his spare time, Armand is an avid movie buff and television junkie with an extensive collection of DVDs, an expert video gamer and enthusiast, writes for local publications, DJ’s, and volunteers when he can.
