Mike Kakuk:

Mike Kakuk is a life long resident of Windsor – Essex who has been working on air at AM800 since September 2000 when he joined the station as the ‘On the Street’ Reporter for the ‘Cam and Lisa’ Show.  He moved into the host roll with Lisa in September of 2003.  

Mike’s radio career began in 1997 as an on air producer for CHUM radio and his first regular on air shift was as a Disc Jockey on 89X
 
Mike attended Holy Names High School and the University of Windsor and currently lives in LaSalle with his two dogs Tram and Lulu.
 
The Top Five Facts You Didn’t Know About Mike…….
 
1)      His favourite hobby is napping
2)      His dogs Tram and Lulu were named for former Detroit Tigers Alan Trammell and Lou Whitaker
3)      He gets up for work at 3:30am and goes to bed at 9pm
4)       Mike’s first job was in Construction
5)      His lowest score in golf was 76 – once at Fox Glen, once at Seven Lakes

Lisa Williams:

Lisa Williams first started in radio at the age of 18 and has been a part of the Windsor/Essex morning radio routine for over 25 years.  Having grown up in Windsor and now raising her children here, she can't imagine living anywhere else! 

Lisa attended Roseland Elementary, Kennedy Collegiate and graduated with Honours from the University of Windsor. 

Lisa keeps busy with her 2 children Connor and Sarah and likes to keep fit with her regular visits to Xanadu Health club and by running regularly. 
As co-host of The Morning Drive, you can hear Lisa every weekday morning from 5 to 9.

Steve Bell:

 

Steve was born and raised in Kincardine, Ontario and graduated Grade 13 from Walkerton District Secondary.  He earned a General Arts Diploma in 1978 from Humber College in Toronto, and graduated from Fanshawe College with a Radio Broadcasting Diploma in 1980.  Steve also won several awards in college including “Most Promising Broadcaster” in 1979, “Radio Writer of the Year”, and “Broadcaster of the Year” in 1980.  His first full-time radio job was at CKSO in Sudbury but has been in the Windsor market at both CKWW and CKLW for more than 30 years.   

In terms of sports he has covered everything from the SuperBowl and Major League Baseball All Star Game to Indy Car Races and the Ryder Cup in golf.  Hockey is Steve’s true passion and although not much of a player as a kid, the love for the game never died.  He’s covered numerous games of the Stanley Cup Champion Wings in Detroit but play by play is where he found a home.  Steve has called somewhere around 1500 OHL games for The Windsor Spitfires and is also the morning sports voice on AM800 CKLW radio in Windsor and 580 CKWW as well.
 
Family is also important to Steve. Steve and his wife Lori live in Tecumseh, Ontario along with their shitz-zhu Huey. His step-son Matt and wife Denise live in Riverside and have two little girls. He loves spending quality time with his two gorgeous grand daughters Avery and Lilah.

Armand Bumanlag:

Born and raised in Windsor, Arms Bumanlag graduated from the Radio & Television program at Michigan's Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in 2004.  He started his media career at AM800 CKLW as a producer, then in promotions, while also hosting several shows on 89X. In 2006 Arms made the jump to on air on CKLW where he was the On The Street reporter for the Morning Show, Host of the Noon Report & Sunday Morning Live.  In March 2013, Arms became the host of Live and Local Saturday mornings at 7am. 

"Being in my hometown and being able to connect with our listeners and viewers is an essential part of putting local news and weather first," says Arms. "I get to be involved through hosting events, and covering what matters to people in the region - from weather patterns to traffic issues to topics that resonate with Windsorites."
In 2010, Arms became the Windsor Weather Anchor on A Windsor @ 6pm – AM 800’s sister TV Station. When not on air on both radio or TV, Arms enjoys volunteering, movies and reading comic books.

6) Loves to travel – has been to Sicily, Chicago, Montreal, New York, Las Vegas in the last decade and is planning trips to LA, Mexico and more this year – “Windsor always brings me back – best city in the world”
 
5) Is a HUGE fan of John Stewart, Stephen Colbert and the Daily Show team on the Comedy Network.
 
4) Has covered so many interesting stories on AM800 over the last 6 years from wild turkeys on the loose, to herding cattle in Kingsville, to fatal fires and collisions on area roads, to hostage situations and the miracle of life – Arms covered a LIVE birth on the street – “That was the craziest – I have so much respect for expecting parents – and especially expecting mothers!”
